2026 Call for Presentations

WIRMC wouldn't be what it is without YOU sharing your passion and industry experience!

The call for presentations has closed

Contact Kelly@RecyclingConnections.org with questions regarding submissions
You will be notified by the end of September if your presentation was selected.

*Submissions that describe or allude to services or products will not be considered. If you have a product or service related to this industry you are welcomed to exhibit at WIRMC 2026. However, that content within our programming agenda is not appropriate.*

The conference planning committee will review all submissions and make selections by the end of September, which is when presenters can expect to be notified.  Thank you for your time, and we hope to see you in February!

We are convening at the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake for WIRMC 2026!  The conference will be held Wednesday, Feb 25 - Friday, February 27th.  We are looking for engaging presentations that educate, inspire, and spark discussion among professionals in solid waste and resource management.  Presentations will be delivered in person. Every presentation will have a moderator available to provide support to the speakers and help engage attendees during Q&A.

Standard presentations are expected to run for 50 minutes, followed by an additional 5-10 minutes for Q&A, and will be delivered on Thursday (2/26) and Friday (2/27).  For those preferring to provide a "workshop style" presentation of 1.5 hours+, please note that workshops can only be scheduled on either Wednesday or Friday.  If you are open to giving either a standard or workshop style presentation, please indicate that on the form.

Presentation proposals are due no later than August 29, 2025 at 4PM.  The conference committee will review all submissions and make final selections in September.  You will be notified if your submission was selected or not by late September.

Please review our Tips for Submitting a Winning Proposal for some best practices to create an engaging presentation.

In submitting a proposal, submitters agree to the following:

  1. Identify by name, title, organization and contact information the individual(s) that AGREES to present face to face if the proposal is selected.

  2. Meet all deadlines; WIRMC reserves the right to refuse any proposal that does not meet deadlines.

  3. Submit a proposal that is original and offers new insights and solutions.

  4. Present on any day and time between February 25 - February 27, 2026.  The WIRMC Planning Committee will try to accommodate schedules, but will not guarantee preferences.

  5. Submit slides for the presentation by February 25, 2026.  Slides will be temporarily uploaded to a shared folder.

  6. Register speakers for WIRMC 2026 if they would like to attend sessions or activities (free admission to speakers is not offered)

  7. Authorize the recording, use, and display of the presentation. Additionally, give permission for use and display of presenter’s headshot for WIRMC conference publicity/marketing purposes.

  8. Permit WIRMC to modify your session description to ensure consistent tone and grammar across all sessions. Presenters will have an opportunity to review and approve revisions.
