2021 Call for Presentations.

One thing that makes our conference great is having passionate and informed people talk about
their experiences in the industry.  Don't miss your chance to share!

We are going virtual in 2021 in an effort to keep Wisconsin’s solid waste community connected and safe at the same time. WIRMC 2021 is specifically looking for presentations that lead to dialog and engagement of the attendees. Presentations will be delivered in a webinar format using Zoom.com. Every presentation will have a moderator and a technical support staff available online to provide support to the speakers and to assist with engaging attendees.

All selected presenters will be given training and support for presenting in our online setting. Please review our Tips for Submitting a Winning Proposal for some best practices to create an engaging presentation. Presentations are expected to be 30 minutes, followed by an additional     5-10 minutes for Q&A and discussion.

In submitting a proposal, submitters agree to the following:

  1. Identify by name, title, organization and contact information the person(s) that AGREE to present virtually if the proposal is selected.

  2. Meet all deadlines. WIRMC reserves the right to refuse any proposal that does not meet deadlines.

  3. Submit a proposal that is original and offers new insights and solutions.

  4. Present on any day and time between February 22-25, 2021.  The WIRMC Planning Team will try to accommodate schedules, but will not guarantee preferences.

  5. Submit the presentation by February 15, 2021 as a Microsoft PowerPoint—not in a PDF or other format.

  6. Register for WIRMC 2021 if interested in attending other WIRMC 2021 sessions or activities.

  7. Authorize the recording, use, and display of the presentation. Additionally, give permission for use and display of presenter’s headshot for WIRMC conference publicity/marketing purposes.

  8. Meet by phone/online with WIRMC Planning Team members for at least one Speaker prep meeting, in order to test technological connections and review logistics prior to the conference.

  9. Permit WIRMC to modify your session description to ensure consistent tone and grammar across all sessions. Presenters will have an opportunity to review and approve revisions.

Proposals must be submitted by Friday, September 18, 2020, 11:59 p.m. CST.

Thank you to those who submitted proposals!

The deadline has passed. The list of submitted proposals are currently under review.
